or just a pic. whatever you want!

naw. if there's show off your amp thread, there can be a show of your pedal thread.

A show off your amp thread should be on gear and accessories too?

...anyway, my favourite pedal would have to be my Boss RC50 Loop Pedal =D

Closely followed by my Boss MT-2 pedal. Wicked distortion.

A pretty tough call. I go through phases of loving different pedals. Right now my BYOC envelope filter pedal (modified for bass) is probably my favorite. It sounds super crazy after my bootzilla wah with just the fuzz engaged.

Sounds incredible with guitar too.

Currently, the Fulltone Bass Drive takes top spot. It's a brilliant overdrive pedal. It is really hard to fault. After a a year with it, I can say that slightly more control over EQ of the distortion than a tone knob would be nice, but as it stands, it is still very good.

I also own a Q-tron+, which is a great envelope filter. I can get some really watery sounds out of it. Also in my possession is a BOSS ODB-3, which is really pretty rubbish. Very harsh sounding, and lacking in a nice midrange. It is very top and bottom. Saying that, it is very functional. It is a hard pedal to fault for other than its tone (which is opinion if you want to be politically correct).

Today, I tried a MXR Blowtorch, which is a very nice fuzz, but I am not sure if it is exactly what I would want in a fuzz. I also tried an Ibanez Weeping Demon, which is the best wah I have ever heard on bass. With that fuzz in front of it, it was screaming and roaring and I want one . Just needs me to try it out again with my Fulltone before I make the call (likely after Christmas),

Right now, my Ibanez PD-7 Overdrive/Distortion/Clean boost. The sheer versatility of this thing is awesome. I'm getting an SB-7(synth/envelope filter) sometime soon, though, and it'll probably take over as my favorite. Fully analog synth for under $100? Yes, please.
Nope, no sig here.

My favorite pedal is a toss up between my Electro Harmonix POG and my MXR Carbon Copy delay. I use both very sparingly and often times together, the POG really sounds a lot more organic with a delay behind it and the Carbon Copy has been the most organic sounding delay I have come across that didn't cost 400 dollars or more.

The envelope filter is the purple one between the bootzilla wah and the Boss DD6. Yes I love old school label makers.
awesome. you have made me want an old school label maker.

Akai E2 Headrush loop / delay pedal.
This is by far my best buy ever. I can jam for hours with this little thing and I record with it as well.

I send my bass through it, as well as a guitar and a keyboard with a small mixer. That way I really got lots of possibilities.
I practily never use the delay fuction though, but it's a nice bonus and it was the cheapest loop pedal available .

If you want pictures, go to the "Post your pedalboard" thread in the TalkBass effects forum. A far nicer place than the rest of the forum.

An EHX Bassballs from 2002. Fantastic envelope filter, with the added bonus of adding a bit of dirt with the distortion switch- turn the sensitivity dial right down, switch on the distortion, and you have a tiny bit of dirt- just enough to sound awesome.

You can also turn the sensitivity right up, mute all the strings and strum... instant porn music

My probably 70's JEN 'Elvis' Super Cry Baby. White Fasel, almost no circuit to speak of, unbuffered. Rough around the edges, and in dire need of a new pot 'cos the original Marquandt has had enough, it's still the best sounding wah I've ever heard. The very same model that Hendrix and Clapton used, and best of all, it's fine with bass!
Actually, no. The best bit is that it cost me 30 quid. 'Cos the vendor thought it was 'a bit old and tatty'. Prat.
I'll post a pic later...

What's the main differences between the Q-tron and the baseballs? None of the shops in my area (possibly even province) carry ehx except one big muff that I saw in a display case somewhere so it's difficult to find one to test out.

I've been on a quest to build fuzz pedals for the last two months but have so far been failing, Today I made something that worked, but it was still terrible. Give me a month bass forum, and I will create a bass fuzz monstrocity that only the sick minds dweling in our threads could imagine; I will name it "Death from Below" and ye, the world shall tremble in its wake.

From my understanding, the Q-tron has a lot more control over the sound- lots of dials, lots of words and the such The bassballs is nice and simple, relying on your attack and how you set the sensitivity.

Ibanez SB7 Synth and Nobels Overdrive. The overdrive is pretty standard, but the Ibanez is an awesome pedal, ridiculous amount of sounds, but it takes a while to get used to it.
I'm looking to get either a Boss DD7 or Flanger next.

That's the 13th edition of their post your pedalboard thread (they stop each after 1000 posts). You want pedals porn, you have it.

If you want a good place to talk gear, TalkBass isn't bad. However, I tend to stay clear of everywhere apart from the effects forum. Everywhere else has either far too much elitism or too much of the "whatever works, if I like it it's good" philosophy.
