This is one of the songs we just finished up tracking and mixing last week. Check it out on our myspace, www.myspace.com/capitalvolume . It's called "Gone" , slow ballad song I guess you could see. Even if this isn't your cup of tea feel free to drop a comment on what you think!

haha, those first few seconds reminded me of simple man. great tune all together, the voice went great with the song, except when you kinda 'bent' the notes in the verse, it went a little off pitch, but not that big of a deal. the guitar solo had nice voicings in it, almost melody driven, and the break in the rhythm section half way was a nice touch.

check out "lonely as you" if you get the chance

^ Being the lead guitarist thanks! I always try to make my solo's melody driven , not just kinda random shredding.

Thanks for the feedback , I'm about to take a listen to your song.

Nice intro... The drums could be a bit louder. Not fan of the singing, loads of pitch issues and the singer's voice is annoying. The chorus is good,. I like the riffs but the singer ruins it with the horrible vocals. The solo is pretty good too. Definitely some Slash influence there. All in all, pretty good song when it comes to songwriting but for the love of god, fire the singer.

Singer is also the Rhythm guitarist, he just kinda stepped up and said he'd do it so a new singer has always been an option. I'll get to yours as soon as I can!
