Hey Pit

Im needing a car ASAP, as i've just got my license.

Main thing is for me to put big ass speakers in the trunk, and try to combat the chavs who just play repetitive crap all the time by playing good ol' fashioned heavy metal

but what kind of car would you guys recommend?

I would rather not go for a small car, as I'm a fairly big guy

Let's see what you come up with...

As my first car, I got a 2000 Ford Mustang..... it came with an 800 watt sound system.... the bass amp takes up half my trunk. Its annoying though. I need to think of a way to fasten it because with the way I drive the amp got thrown towards the back of the trunk and it ripped the cords out of the end of it. I want to sell the stupid thing but I dont think I could sell it for anything thatd be worth it.

So if you get one make sure you fasten it down well.

I've got a Pontiac Grand Prix. I love it, and it has a big ass trunk too. In fact, mine's even wired up already for speakers, I just need to get some.

And by the way, I'm 6'1" and its really comfortable for me.

My first car (Still have it after 3 years, runs great) was a 99 Toyota camry. Only thing I've ever done to it is oil, brakes, and this summer I changed the spark plugs.

Sound systems are gay. For my car ('83 rx-7 ) I'm taking out the a/c, and leaving the stock sound system in there. No a/c =more power as well as having the stock system puts less load on the alternator, so your engine gets it's max power. I think people with huge sound sytems and subs just for the hell of it are ****s.

/rant

anyways, I'd go for a nice 80's mustang. You can get those really cheap, and they're fast . Pretty decent gas mileage too for a v8.

You can still get a small car even if you are tall.
I'm 188cm and I can get into the smallest of cars quite comfortably.

I'd advise getting a Micra or a Clio.
The insurance will skin you mind.
I hope it doesn't seem, like I'm young, foolish, and green.

What country are you in?

By doing what you plan you'll be just as much a tool as the chavs you complain about.

When i say heavy metal i just want to play something where people have worked to make it unique, not the stuff they play, which sounds all the same, more or less.

Also, Im currently in England
maybe should have made that clearer beforehand?

In England, you won't get anything big. Anything above a 1.6 and you won't get insured, a 1.2 will cost you about a grand to insure.

So basically you're looking at Corsa's, Polo's, Fiesta's etc etc. And all your money will go on insurance, road tax etc and petrol that you won't have enough money for a sound system.

And it's not what you play, playing music obnoxiously loud is a toolish thing to do.
