So

Due to a quick interest in an earlier thread, i decided to see what the patrons of UG had as their first cars.

Did you go for big and brutal (hard rock/heavy metal style)?

Or small and real mellow (psychadelic style)?

Or something completely different?

Pictures welcome of course

This is my beautiful machine:

And the interior:

We've recently put a new stereo and a box of speakers in:

Sorry if they're really big. Cragar wheels. Small block 318 v8.

Also my dad's friend's custom shop is Black Label Customs, and they built the box and painted for me, so they put their mark.

Well it was in the whole personality kind of way

like, most guys i know, if they are a hard-rocking kind of guy, they usually like a big, shouty car

the ones that like psychedelic rock, or something mellow that way, will usually buy one of the smaller cars, usually a Beetle or something.

I realise it doesnt apply to all people, it was a general thing.

Good of you to apologise though

When I was 15, I bought a 1997, purple Concorde.

After my sister bought it from me and totaled it, I bought a 1997 White Ford Taurus.

Not a bad car, I like it a lot.

This (but with a lighter brown/gold shade paint).

Raced it for two months and then drove it to the junkyard. By that time, the brakes were gone and it looked like it got hit by a truck (it did when I bought it, but after two months even more).

But hey, what can you expect for 70 euro (about a 100 dollars)?

Austin Allegro Super 1977

I love it.

Not quick, but it is comfy, and there are very few of them left.

P.s. This one isn't mine. Mine is the same shape and colour, but the wheels are steels with massive chromed covers.

I can honestly say I know no one who chose their car based on musical tastes. It was what they liked, and more importantly what they could afford to insure.

I hope the sarcasm wasn't lost on you. The novelty of feeling like a badass wears off after awhile. Yeah, you have more control, and it is more fun, but far from badass. Besides, America is like the only country that has more automatic drivers than manual.
