but i aint exactly sure how to play with it

me and a mate are gonna start a blues band, and i thought slide would be a cool thing to add to my repertoire

but dunno how to , what do i need to do, so i far i have tuned my acoustic so that when i play all the strings open its a G chord, so then i can slide as though im playin barre chords, o know thats not how you do it right, but its a start

Best thing is to watch and listen the slide players of old. Not only, there are a plethora of talented slidesmen on YouTube.

Open G is useful for slide, but I do prefer Open D. If you're interested in electric slide, I would suggest checking out Duane Allman.

Also, the current Allman Brothers guitarists, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks.

yea just tune into any open key and just mess around, you'll soon get the hang of it, they are awesome little tools for blues.
