I'm sitting here wath an almost exact replica of a Gibson SG Standard, (Epiphone 1966 SG) but I need 2 things. A Proper pickguard (Easy peasy), and neck binding, That's where the trickiness comes in. Is it possible to add white binding to my neck? I really love the look and feel of binding, how hard/easy is it to apply?

Is it easy to add binding not really you gotta route a place for the binding then glue it on and paint over it its not a just a stick on thing. On the neck you will have to remove the frets to do it. So 200 for the fret work and at least a 100 for the binding probably more.

More trouble than it's worth.. you have to route the trench for it, and then fill it with the binding.

To get it done will be like $400, to do it yourself will be a bitch and a half.

Dick. I'd prefer my SG with binding.

You ask us if you can bind your neck, we say yes but it hard.

How is this answer unsatisfactory?
