More highs like more treble? EQ pedal.

*EDIT*

EQ pedal like the MXR 6 band EQ will be simple enough to give you more treble.

I got a treble knob used from one of my pals.

It's AMAZING. Very simple to use. All you do is turn it up if you want more highs. The best pedal I've ever bought.

You're sounding pretty high buddy, I think you're covered.

Turn your treble knob up. Your presence knob too.

Winrar.

Well, when your contour knob is turned all the way up, is that scooping the mids? (I haven't had an amp with a contour knob before )
If so, turn the contour knob to zero. You may not even want more highs, you might just need some mids.

Yes I believe you're right the contour knob is cutting mids. But if that doesn't work there's two alternatives:

1) New amp. Better in the long run but far more costly than number 2.

2) MXR 6 band EQ pedal. Temporary fix that will stay with him for good, but it's just polishing an already sub-par amplifier.
