I have no idea what band it is or anything helpful. I heard the song on a classic rock station maybe twice, it rarely gets played. It sounds kind of like Cream. It's really psychedelic and I think the lyrics talk about colors. The guitar riff is repeated over and over. That's all I remember...if you know what song I'm talking about you are magic or something.

if its by Cream then maybe its "White Room" that song is super trippy, yea otherwise "bold as love" by jimi is a great one, but jimi tends to never play the same riff twice so i doubt its him

Sadly it isn't "Bold as Love" or "White Room." It's not by Hendrix or Cream, that much I'm sure. It's a white guy singing it.

no, it doesn't even sound close to mellow yellow. it's a lot harder, more in the style of "White Room"

Tales of Brave Ulysses?

"Tiny purples fishes run laughing through your fingers"

EDIT: I just realized how much I love that line.

Also, if you heard the song recently and know what station/time it was, go to www.yes.com

I think it might be Cream...

''So many fantastic colours, I feel in a wonderland.
Many fantastic colours, makes me feel so good''....
