Both tracks sounds great, think I prefer the more upbeat funkieness of By Now. Can't really pick up any bad parts instrumentally wise and the vocals sound great. I'd be inclined to turn up the rhythm guitar a bit, have to strain a bit to be able to hear some of the chords.

Very suprised to see no gigs listed though? Land some more gigs and get a big fanbase going!

Well actaully we just played a gig. Weve been doing most of our promotion through facebook but I figured i would get the myspace back up. Aside from that we played no shows durring the 6 months it took to record the album so it's proving hard to get back in the scene to the extent we used to be...

Wow these sound great. Your singer is great which really sets you apart. On "Given", his place in the mix is weird though, sometimes its right but at others he gets drowned out a little. I like the overall dynamics though, you have a very good feel for bringing the sound up and down. In general it sounds very mid 90s, in a good way.

"By Now" is similarly good, only this time its the drums that sound kind of flat. I like the song and I hate to say it - but - I really feel like I've heard this song before. I know of three or more local Florida based bands with the exact same formula and sound as on "By Now". There's nothing bad about this, in fact, the coolness of "Given" and "Out of Touch" make up for it, its just that that was in the back of my mind the entire time I was listening.

Seriously good job, your band rocks.

Hah by now is honestly the kind of song where we said "lets just make a good old fashioned rock song". Plus it's one of those songs thats just really fun live and always different and the average joe music listener would enjoy it. But I also can agree it's probably our least original sounding song (though we tried to make the jam a little more experimental). Thanks for the kind words, I will definately work on our singers vox on given.
Im about to eat dinner but I will crit yours as soon as I get back!

i listened to 'by now', i thought it was great! good quality for a live recording too btw. between the main riff and chorus (losin faith part) i think this has great mainstream potential, vocals were smooth, went great with the style. whoever the guitar player is, he's got great lines for that solo, real melodic. the only problem is 10 minutes? you've gotta admit thats pretty long by today's standards, maybe cut out some solo time from the guitar player. awesome song, kudos to the song writer.

Yah we have a single edit for the song but I figure you guys and our fans would like the hear the full version.
We send the single edit out to record companies etc.

Shoebox, your stuff is awesome I hope you read this! I can tell you would be a great live act. Really like your voice and writing and of course the southern vibe is one of my favorites. One thing is you could use some really good rock out songs, I do think they all sit into the acoustic chill vibe and I can just tell you could make a most badass rock song! Still excellent writing and playing.
