This is not my band, but I do know the people in it. I just thought I'd share this with everyone, because it makes me feel better about myself. I also find it hilarious that they changed their names to sound like Avenged Sevenfold.

And they go with the opposite of what you want a band to sound like. You want to hear a band that's doing something new, but they even say that they are just like everyone else.

Well, let's see how it all weighs out:

I'm a million times the musicians they are.
They're in a band.
I'm alone.
The verdict is: They win!
We've drained full confession booths, polluted drinking wells with our repentances, and then stood grinning with our arms around the shoulder of a rotting child.

I'm at least a dozen, maybe a dozen and a half times the musician they are.
They're in a band.
I'm in a band.

Don't be too hard on them - I used to live in Va and the outlying areas, and there isn't sh*t as far as any real music community.

Never mind. I just listened to it, and I retract my previous statement.

That has nothing to do with where you live.

At least they've got a band, though. They can always improve together.

I can't find people to show up to practice on time or at all. That at least deserves SOME credit.

That's becuase they're still in middle school, and pester people relentlessly about listening to it. If you were 13 in school, you'd have a lot more too.

Personally, I'd rather have half as many views and listens from people who like it or form an opinion on it than twice as many highschool kids that don't care either way, but just want to be on myspace.

The DC/VA area has been dry for good musicians since the late 90's. It's why I got the hell out. There was a band back then when I was playin the circut called MindDilute, and they were pretty awful too - a real mess live.

Now I've got tons of musicians here in Seattle, they're just all flake addict losers that blow off practice to party. It's great.

Just because they're influenced by it doesn't mean they have to play that type of music.
For example, I feel I am influenced greatly by jazz musicians, I love jazz, but when I write music, it's usually along the lines of death metal.
