So I was hearin stuff about this on the radio and I thought to myself "no way a new wonderland...sounds awesome!" so i googled it and started to read about it. Sounds like its going to be a good movie hope burton does a good job on it.

what are your guys expectations for this movie?

what other versions of the original story have been made?

any other random discussion stuff would be nice....talk away!

Nah, not really, no. And it's not a version of Alice per se, it's abut Lewis Carroll and his "twisted visions" or how you should put it.

Some theorize he was a pedophile and a opiumhead, and I guess Manson's taking that angle.

EDIT: A quote from the man “I might add that the girls playing Tweedledum and Tweedledee are twins who get to have real, genuine sex with each other. I like to make dreams come true”.

There might be some pictures circling around, but their authencity is anyone's guess.

Burton. I like Manson but I feel like he might overdo it.
Her friends are gazing on her,
And on her gaudy bier,
And weep!-oh! to dishonor
Dead beauty with a tear!
They loved her for her wealth-
And they hated her for her pride-
But she grew in feeble health,
And they love her-that she died.

I'm pretty pissed that tim burton is remaking all these classics. I used to love his movies and now they suck ass. Chocolate factory totally ruined wonka. and now wonderland is going to ruin the disney version (even though disney already ruined the novel) UGGGHHH.. tim burton needs to go back to doing original stuff.

another good point. the new wonka was horrible...i think burton does need to start doing originals. im excited to see the new alice in wonderland but at the same time i hope its not horrible like the wonka film

I thought Manson was making a movie about Lewis Carroll, not remaking Alice.

'tsright, but he will incoporate stuff from his stories as well (since the book was basically about a girl he knew).

I thought the guy who did Pans Labyrinth was actually directing it? in witch case it should be stunning.

There was a pic relesed of johnny depp as the mad hatter if anyone wants to see it
Its a bit typical "Tim Burton-esque" but who knows, **** could be awsome

I'm not very fond of Beetlejuice but it's still good.

I love Edward Scissorhands and I'm quite tempted to watch it now... or maybe a bit o' Sweeney Todd

Im so happy that Helena Bonham Carter is in Alice aswell
The casting is a bit typical but they have yet to make a crappy movie together so I dont see why they should stop working together.

I vote for scissorhands btw

That doesn't surprise me.

Sweeney Todd is overrated. Scissorhands is my favorite Tim Burton movie. Or Ed Wood.

I agree, Sweeney is a bit overated, but I think Alan Rickman was ****ing outstanding in it as the judge
