Ok, here is my final decision for my axe for a while:

1996 Fender MIM Standard Telecaster
Red finish, Maple neck and fretboard, white pick guard, Seymour Duncan pickups
Excellent condition
$220 usd

1998 Gibson SG Special
Ebony Finish, Ebony fretboard, standard gibson pickups
Some scratches on back and on top of headstock
$560 usd

Both of these are pretty much steals! especially the gibson!

Heres my music types:
From Autumn To ashes
Silverstein
Akissforjersey
A skylit drive
Alesana
From first to last
Everytimeidie
Norma Jean

Which of these guitars should i pick?
Im at a complete stand still and i dont know which one i want

Sg special. Without a doubt. I actually own both and the Sg beats the tele on all fronts.
1990 Gibson SG Special Black
2003 Martin Hd-28
Fender Standard Telecaster Chrome Red
Randall RX120RH On RX412 SOLD!!
Fender Pro Jr. Combo
Keeley Modded Boss DS-1
Electro Harmonics Metal Muff
Ernie Ball Vp Jr.

the 490's are awful pickups, or at least compared to Seymour Duncans.

Mexican-made guitars are a lot better than a lot of people around here say, and in my experiences, Gibsons below the Standard model tend to be subpar.

In short, by far the tele.

Honestly, I would take the MIM. Well, I don't know. . . I'd have to play the SG.

I went to the guitar stor to buy a Gibson SG one day. They had only specials, which is what I though I was gonna come home with. I played every one in there about 5 or six and wasn't feelin them. I played the Epi SG LTD that I have now and loved it. I've played some good one's since then but I for some reason my Epi SG just feels so awesome. I've never played another Epi SG before or after so maybe I got lucky. Who know's. . . who cares.

. . . and I played a Lite Ash Tele the other day with seymour duncans that was f'n incredible. Maybe that makes me a little biased right now cuz I want a Tele.

I've played a few SGs and I find them to be a little neck-heavy. Not very easy to wear unless you're holding the neck most of the time.

I had a '95 MIM Strat that I thought was very well made.

I'd go for the Tele for those reasons as well as it has Duncans at that price.

well heres 2 pictures
as you can see the headstock has the black "Fender" logo rather than the faded grey ones that other fenders have
this thing sounds amazing

EDIT: Sorry bout the large image sizes

XD Ah. Fair enough.

Still, seeing as you have a Les Paul and it sounded good through a Spider, without a doubt the tele. With a humbucker guitar and a single-coil guitar your really set for most genres. Especially since it was one of the higher non-elitist Epi's, the Custom will sound a lot better than you'd think it would next to an SG, especially a Special, even if it is Gibson.

I say the SG for they type of music you play, and because I like them more than MIM Tele's, but regardless of which one you choose, I'm damn near positive you'll be happy either way

Definitely the SG.

John Entwistle once in a while. I had to try to find him when I saw The Who two years ago.
