Hey peoples .
I'm looking at the LTD EX-400BD .
I'm wondering whats your opinion about this guitar , because I'm thinking of saving up for it.
I like to play metal , like metallica , slipknot , etc .

imo more of an onstage guitar

judginf by your gear get a better amp .. a fat strat can handle hi gain tones (humbucker)

but if you really really want a nw guitar, pref with active emgs im assumin then umm ec-400? ex-400? not bd tho i think that costs xta

If you're getting an LTD, I wouldn't go for a lower model than a 500. The extra cash is worth the investment.

Is this the explorer with the metal plate front?

If so - BUY THAT BEAST! I played one a while back and it was awesome! (suprisingly versatile too!)

I have one, i cant think of any flaws, smooth neck, lovely tone, heavy bugger tho. urm. Decent, decent metal guitar, and it one of those guitars if you keep it in good nick you can usually resell it for a decent price if you wanted.

Is the black diamond plate only on the front or on the WHOLE guitar?
I'm also kinda considering EC-400 cos of the 24 frets which i need for some metallica songs .
They both cost around the same price .
