I pay no attention to the 'genre' I just listen to what I like. I'm going back and forth between some electronic (Beast) and folk (Tracy Chapman) at the moment.

(As of now. Also, I don;t listen to Paramore at all, but it is really damn catchy.)
Pop-rock = Riot! - Paramore (/shame... )
Post-Hardcore = Crisis - Alexisonfire
Rock N Roll = Runnin' Wild - Airbourne
Classic Rock = Machine Head - Deep Purple
Death Metal = Hate Crew Deathroll - Children of Bodom
Metalcore = Sceam, Aim, Fire! - Bullet for my Valentine
Thrash = Shovel Headed Kill Machine - Exodus
Prog Metal = Colors - Between The Buried And Me
Instrumental = The Extremist - Joe Satriani
Hard Rock = Light From Above - Black Tide
Modern Rock = Sound of Madness - Shinedown
Heavy Metal = The Blackening - Machine Head (?)

Idk, some of the genres may be wrong, but no real musicians pay attention to genre anyway.
