C4C Short. Sweet. To the point. Inspired by the snow.

Just A Little Something

I cannot sleep
When the sky spills her snow
For fear of being frozen over
By the daybreak in Ohio

I have often feared
But left alone
The idea of dying
Without ones consent
And the sobering blast from reality
That screams in my face

An urgent message
Sent by god
But not received by everyone
That when life is over
It is also done

Listen to my covers here.

The idea of dying

That screams in my face This is better, some nice imagery here, while still remaining simple

An urgent message
Sent by god
But not received by everyone

I like this for what it is. Simplistic. The ending is probably your strongest point. Each stanza present a different idea and interpretation, but they all tie together really nicely at the end

I didn't really get much from the first 2 stanzas but the last one made its point well, Sent by god but not received by everyone is short, sweet and to the point as you say
