Isn't that what the majority of rap is about? Dealing drugs, etc.

There is no point except party and be healthy and happy. Also money is not something to live for. If i didnt need money for drugs and beer i would give mine away.

Granted. But you have to endure support by the Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and a steaming turd.

1. Death
2. Children Of Bodom
3. Metallica
4. Megadeth
5. Pantera
6. Cannibal Corpse

robbery, prostitution, shootings and gang crimes are all rap seems to be about. maybe now people will actually do something about their honest stupidity...

I see nothing wrong with him rapping about it. It does seem a stupid crime to commit though, and to mention the guy by name might not have been a good choice.
I'm also guessing the judge cant convict based on a "confession" made in a rap song. This guy was going down anyway.

None of those actually mention specific crimes and victims by name, though.

Why?

In appellate court

5th Amendment protects you from testifying against yourself
If a re-trail occurs, it could pop up

I don't think that would count if it was considered a confession, though..

Right, so, it's good thing that never happened. He's not testifying, the dipshit confessed.

i know it's not exactly what the thread is about, but it makes me sad to see someone say this this when we have tons of hip hop artists like brother ali and atmosphere trying to make a difference and do something positive through music. brother ali might not be as big nationally as he is here in minnesota, but for someone not rapping about any of the things you've listed, he's doing pretty well. heck, atmosphere even had the #5 record in the country back in april/may. i guess, as brother ali says "our songs are supposed to be the voice of our soul". so anyways, i'm not trying to "start anything", i just personally think that what you said isn't true. keep it real.
I thought I heard the door open, oh no,
I thought I heard the door open but
I only heard it close.

Let's face it, most rap is the essence of violence and stupidity in music.

its happened. the idiocracy of the race known as "thugz" will starve and eat it's own stupidity, which is extremely fatal.

Duuude I haven't heard atmosphere in years!
I was obsessed with them in like 6th grade after my cousin showed them to me. It's nice to see that they're getting the recognition they deserve.

On topic,
