Youtube link That's a video of me playing Sweet Child O Mine at my school talent show last week. Aside from the vocals (because the girls stepped in at last minute as my singer dropped out, so they didn't know the song, and were dressed oddly because they were dancing in another act that night), how do you guys reckon I did playing this classic?

Nice, but the part of the solo with the wah could have been better.

i was using an Epiphone Les Paul. and a Line 6 PodXt Live running straight into the school's PA system so I wasn't using an amp.

Dude, your singer sucked lol.

Good job on guitar though. Started sloppy, then shifted gears into solid, then overdrive, sweeeeet.

in defence of the singers, my singer couldn't make it that night, so they stepped in at last minute which was a big favour to me. Neither of them had heard the song in ages, and we didn't have the original to go through so I had to teach them about an hour before we went on. I think if they went from the original song and not my crappy attempt at it, they would've sounded a bit better

also, I know i was off tempo in the intro, but that's because the backing track starts with a click track which I use to determine my speed. When the crowd started clapping, they were clapping out of time with the click track and they were louder, which meant I was following the tempo of the crowd by mistake. It's only when the backing track kicks in when i realised that I was off tempo, and you'll notice I quickly slowed down

and thanks to everyone that has commented
