I'm going to buy one of these and I can't decide which one to get. I like the idea of the CD version taking replaceable batteries, but I wonder if it will last as long since it plays CDs and has moving parts. I like the MP3 version being able to hold more songs and not having to keep making new CDs, but I wonder if the sound quality is as good and is it a PITA to charge the battery. Any ideas or suggestions?

I have the MP3 version, but I haven't tried the CD version, so I can't compare sound quality.

As far as charging the battery for the MP3 version, all that you need to do is hook it up to your computer via the USB cable.

As far as sound quality on the MP3, I find that it does decent to a point. If I attempt to slow a song down too much, there is a pronounced warble I(that's the best way I can describe it). I don't know if this occurs with the cd version or not.
