Anyone compared MXR Dime dist. and MXR Doubleshot dist?
If anyone tried them side by side, I would like to know if there's any difference between them, when you put them at exactly the same settings?
Is the dime a bit sharper, or have a bit more gain, or anything...?or are they exactly the same?
My gear:
Jackson RR3 moded (EMG 81/85, OFR)
Jackson JS30 (with Duncan JB/Jazz from my RR3)
Peavey studio pro 112
MXR Double shot dist.
MXR 10 band EQ
Crybaby 535Q

For double shot, one of the channel is basically Dime Distortion.
Ibanez SA-120 (ed.2006)
BluesJr 1996-B + cathode follower + texas Heat
Crate CPB150
Homemade 4 x 10 cab Bass closeback

well think of it this way. listen to dimes tone and ask yourself if thats the tone you want. listen to someone who plays the doubleshot and see which you prefer?
usually sig. models are a bit better then company models, but more expensive

i tried?
