i didnt know a7x had a bassist, try turning your amp off?

Don't be a smartass. *reported* (beaten to it by a mod! oh well! )

Most of JC's tone comes from the humbucker on his Musicman, but the best thing to do is boost the treble on your bass, and then play around with the EQ on your amp.

How do you physically download an album? Like run your computer off a dynamo on an exercise bike?

Musicman Sterling/Stingray through a GK 2001RB, play with a pick to get a pretty bright tone. Also to get his fingerstyle tone you want a bit of OD and pluck hard.
Gear: 08 Fender MIA Jazz bass,
American Peavey Millenium Plus 4,
GK 1001RBII,
Mesa/Boogie RR215,
Schecter C-1 Classic.

boost the bass and treble, and cut the mids.
if you want his live tone, turn the mids off completely.
