Is it safe to bring a les paul outside when its around -4 degrees ?

Should i use my gig bag or my hard case ? ... I'm taking public transit so gig bag is preferable but im unsure if it'll do damage to the guitar. THanks in advance !!

Well, if you take about 5 minutes outside, it won't do much damage, if any. If you take outside for a day or two, then maybe it will cause some damage. Just make sure you don't open it really quickly when you get back inside, just open the case slowly and let the guitar adjust.

And I'd take it in a hardcase; it'll at least have more protection from the elements.

It should be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe just slack the strings a bit, there won't be any problems. You only have problems if you expose it for days on end.
