Tried electric forum, got no help there.

I broke a nut on my electric guitar trying to restring it, and it snapped in 3. The far left and right pieces fell out, but the middle one is still stuck, and glued down solid. How do I get it out?

So that's what happened. But this is before, now I've chipped away all the exposed nut by accident, from trying the "board and hammer" trick, but it didn't work obviously, and now it's all in the groove.

I would think you can heat it up and that will loosen the glue holding it in, then just got buy a new one, or bring it to a luthier and get them to do it if you want..
