Hey, I'm having some trouble with my amp... When I turn it on, you can hear a little hum, which is how it sounds when it's on when you're not playing, but the lights don't come on I can't play anything. I have to keep turning it off and on until it does something. Sometimes some lights come on, but it makes some really weird sounds, not coming from my guitar. After about 10 minutes of turning it on and off, it works fine, but that won't do. I've tried waiting, I've tried unplugging it and moving it, and nothing helps. Also, when it gets cold it's even harder to get to work. Is this something I should bring in for, or is it something I can fix, and if I can, how? Thanks.

Well it looks like yours is simply broken. Do you have a warranty?

Definately get an exchange. Some of the Vypyrs have issues. The Chinese factory that makes them SUCKS. Their quality control specialist is a drunken panda bear that keeps failing the drug tests too.

The Vypyrs do metal really well. The Rec, Dzl, K-Stein, 6505, JSX and XXX models all have great distortion but sound completly different from each other. I prefer the Rec model. And for the Sanpera pedals they're not out yet but I do plan on checking them out. I'll post my opions on them when Peavey finally gets them on the market.
