Why do you need a 15 in speaker?

The Legends are good speakers though.

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Seems like they're advertising that a 15" speaker will help with the low end for metal. I'd think if this were true more people would be using them, but maybe I'm wrong.

TS, what head are you running into this cab?

It's not really that. 15" speakers can sound pretty cool with guitars, but for metal, most bass players don't even use 15" speakers because it's just not the kind of bass they're going for in that genre of music

Eh I wouldn't buy a 2x12/1x15 cabinet. I looked at that while skimming Randall cabs awhile back. If I ended up doing something like that I'd end up with a 4x12+1x15 full stack type...

That's just... too much bass for a guitar.

And MatrixClaw is correct, in metal most bass players will use a 10" speaker to get more of a crunchy fuzz (or "growl" as Alex Webster will call it).

There are no genres in metal that end with "core."

a 15 inch speaker is great for low end, but its definitly not as tight as a set, better yet, 2 sets of 12" speakers...just my own general experience....i tend to hear smoother fatter lows with larger speakers, and i always felt metal required a faster, tighter, low end.

whats wrong with a randall 4 x 12", if you don't have a chance to go try it out, id be safe and go with a 4 12...though i doubt the difference between the 2 12/1 15 to a 4 12 would make you throw a fit...i hope, ...play it safe webster.

Well the cab is in my area and is 200$ so its pretty cheap and i thought would be pretty good since i know Vader uses Eminence Speakers (even though they change some things in their speakers). But would this cab be worth it even for 200$ cause i might also get another cab that is a 2x12 with one G12T-75 and one Vintage 30. Also it's getting hooked up to my RM50 Combo which already has a G12T-75 in it.

Oh, well for $200, that's a pretty good deal, I'd go for it.

The speaker in the combo will most likely turn off when you plug a cab into it though.

Nah i've hooked it up before with a B-52 4x12 cab and it still runs. So it'd be cool like i can run the cab at the audience or w/e and the amp in front of me like a monitor.

Oh, well then cool. The cab will give you and interesting sound, that's for sure, but for that price, it'd be really cool to have
