Hey guys I don't know if this is the right forum for this but whatever.

My band doesn't have a vocalist yet but I want to know about this in advance.

1. How does a microphone setup go?

2. Is the microphone connected to a guitar amp?

3. Is it connected to something like this?

4. How are microphones connected?

5. How is a wireless microphone connected to whatever it is connected to?

Sorry, I don't know the right forum for this.

1: Well mic through a mic cable into a mixer, which plugs into loud speakers.

2: No. If you plan to use an amplifier for it, keyboard are best followed by bass and lastly guitar.

3: It can be. The mixer would connect to that.

4: They use microphone cables. Usually like this http://www.zzounds.com/item--CBIMLN Some however end in a 1/4" guitar-like cable.

5: A wireless microphone is sorta like a wireless router. There's a small box that connects to the mixer and the mic talks to that.

Not a bad plan. Just remember that mixers usually need quite a bit of wattage to stand up to a guitar amp, much less a drummer.
