I am getting an EQ pedal and I am deciding between MXR 10b and 6b. What I would like to know is whether the extra 50 $ (or so) for 10b are worthy, and would the difference between these 2 pedals be obvious on my amp (Roland Cube 30X)?

Thanx in advance

I would personally grab the 10 band. It really does make a difference. Also the pedal will probably outlive your amp.

It does have an effects loop right? Thats where it sounds the best imo.

I've got the 10 band and when ever i'm faced with this kinda question i go with the cadillac. That way a month from now you won't be 2nd guessing yourself. You only live once.

If you're EQ'd loose, you'll sound loose anyway.

Don't bump a thread after a half hour, wait at least 24 before you bump a thread.

Go with the 10 band, it's better than deciding later on that you want the extra bands.

your crazy. you should go with the aston-martin. DUH
sorry, just watched the new bond movie last night.
anyways, yes, get the 10-band. even if you arent tonally adept at this point to use all 10 bands, you'll eventually get to that point, and it will save you money in the future.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

So to make it clear. Will the difference between 6b and 10b be able to be heard on my amp?
