Sweet tune, Love the drums, the leads are cool, bass is good too. Love the keyboards. Great vibe to this tune. I like the change at 1:53, keeps it intresting, awesome prodution too. Overall great track and trust me I'm not just blowing smoke up your ass. There's nothing I can really crit so I'll just say great work. 5/5

this is really cool, sounds like a soundtrack to an old N64 game, like Cruisin' USA or Mario Kart.

over all, real good, represents your listed influences really well, and the change with sitar or whatever is pretty hypnotizing. good production and mixing, too.

in particular the track "Coffee", and in particular the vocals, if you'd crit it.

Thanks. 034036503530: I don't really know what to say. I found it really hard to understand the vocals on that track and it just sorta sounded like a drum machine with you talking over top of it. Interesting though.

Wow I really like this a lot. The whole electronica feel + funk guitar + awesome lead guitar is just really, really cool. The bass also has that great funky feel to it. The ambient Indian-sounding section around 2:00 is a really cool interlude though it does get a bit repetitive. My only complaint is that I feel this could change around a bit more, you know, develop it a bit more. Other than that I thought it was really cool and unique.

PS: You have some GREAT influences, all that jazz and Zappa =

Crit mine?

Very well played man! Excellent work on the drums, and a great composition. You demand quality for your tracks and it shows. Everytime I hear one I know I can expect something good, and this is no exception- it delivers. You have a lot of quick runs on the bass and guitar that make the song feel really fast. I like your style, even though I'm not sure what to classify it as, its unique and thats a good thing. Keep it up man!

Man I really liked this track! It gave me that jazzy, funky feeling. Nice lead guitar in the middle by the way and good dynamics overall in the song. My only complaint is; I'm missing some vocals. But I know this is just your style.

Keep it up!

Definitely interested in hearing more from you.

Yep! Thanks for listening.

I love this song. This kind of music really hits me. It's great. The change before the halfway point is great. It could use a little more development, however. It isn't repetitive, but could use a bit more of a change up.

It's a damn good song and definately something I would listen to. Great work, keep it up.

P.S. I love the keyboard parts.

Coffee? I think you may have hit the wrong link there. Mine is at the top of the thread.

my bad i meant lost in the middle but I accidentally put coffee cuz I was listenin to a song called coffee while I was typin it

Decent. Is that a mandolin I hear?

Are there many sampled instruments (drums sound like they are to me..)?

Nice hooks in there.

Good holding back in the pocket in the main riff.

Gets a little bit repetitive getting on towards the end. Try to mix thing up a bit or even cut the song length a bit. 3 mins is usually a good time to aim for, though nothing I'm involved in really holds to that either!

I ****ing love your acoustic stuff on the other page!

Very rhythmic and open tunings are always bad ass.

The intro and various little synth parts are sampled through-out as well as a basic hi-hat sample (basically used as a metronome) that I then played over with my full kit for the rest of the song so the drums are 95% me. All bass and guitar parts are played by me as well as added keyboard. Thanks for checkin it out and my acoustic stuff too.

Cheers,

this is the kind of stuff you don't hear a lot here in ug. it was alright. sounded pro with all the samples and your playing is good. but musical style just isn't my cup of tea. could you crit my suff on my profile?

Good track.I'd like to hear it at better quality.Myspace tends to crush sound as it's converters are not that good and they only stream at 128 kbs.

Jasy i'm always impressed by your stuff. This one is no exception. You seem to be able to blend every style of music into one unique statement.Very eccentric and interesting mix of influences.Kinda like bob marley meets hendrix, meets mowtown meets modern elecronica .Awesome stuff!!!

Hah! Nice. It sounds like Mountain Jam by the Allman Brothers! Even the bass solo. Seriously. Good stuff.

Good sound, good playin', good variation. Sounds like you got all the pieces. I think the only critique would by the dynamics. Which I know because I do some electronic **** as well, isn't always easy when you're messin' with electronic instruments and layering your own ****, but that's the only thing I would push you on if I was workin' with you on that track. Just needs some more intensity builds and releases.

Very cool jazzy feel to beginning, and I dig how it changes styles a bit, unfortunately I can't really find anything to critique here in terms of composition or playing. Your guitar work is spot on, but I suppose if I wanted to be picky I'd suggest bringing up the volume on the lead guitar a bit more.

http://www.myspace.com/drivenmindsmusic Give Ambient Blues, and Sonic Surrender a listen if you could, I'd love the input.
