I have been attempting to set up heavy distortion on my peavey 5150.

I have tried changing knobs cause that was the best advice the guy i got it from told me.

Please help me for i am an idiot and may electrocute myself.

Look up how to give it a cascaded gain stage. I don't really know what I'm talking about and it might already have one, but that's all I know.

are you talking about just turning the gain knobs and stuff on the amp?

just turn them, you can't get electrocuted or anything...

... what do you mean change knobs and how would that affect the distortion? I really don't understand what you're asking.

Ummm.... seriously?

There are gain knobs on your amp. Use them

Also tube amps only sound best when cranked, so turn up the volume
