Read the Tube Sticky, that should give you an idea of brands. Tubesdepot.com has whatever you'll need. The only thing I know for sure is that you should stay away from Sovteks... they're the stock tubes in my amp and they are AWFUL.

JJ 6l6s really made my hot rod deluxe sound very nice. the best sounding 12 ax7s ive ever had in it were ruby, which are rebranded so i guess i dont know what they could have been.
