hi.

the title explains what i want to do. i DO NOT want to imitate the sound of an acoustic guitar(i don't want an acoustic simulator pedal or anything like that) i just want to know if there is a simple way to set my electric EQ to get approximately the same highs, lows and mids that an acoustic guitar has.

i have a stratocaster and an amp with your average treble, middle, and bass knobs.

first off, lower your guitar's volume.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

Low bass, so its very defined and punchy. Low mids and maxed-out treble seems to do the trick. Or use your Strat's bridge pickup, and just dip the mids, it should work.

just lower your guitar volume knob... your not going to get the same tone, cause you dont have acoustic strings, and your guitar isn't hollow inside
