Just like Matt Bellamy does

So, heres the thing. I have been wanting to do something really special with my American Strat, something that is rare and unusual, and I have decided on mounting a Kaoss Pad on my guitar just behind the bridge

Similar to that.

How difficult would this job be? What sort of tools and wires do I need? Has anyone actually done this before or know what Im talking about?

Note that I am fairly new at modding gear.

Thanks guys!

too many people want to do this and too many give up. google bwoi! find out what the kaoss pad it, how it works, what the leads are coming from it, hat it takes to power, etc. etc.

Rare and unusual does NOT mean unique. I know I am not unique, but neither is even owning a Strat. I'm just doing something cool with my guitar. I'd appreciate it if you weren't such an asshole, thanks.

And yeah, I watched HAARP a little while ago

its easy. just finished my first mod yesterday. make sure you use thin wires and that the copper from each wire is covered so it doesnt touc any other wires. do it yourself, its fun

hmm, i just watched several videos on the kaoss pad, and have 0 idea on what it is except making alien noises... anyone want to help me out?
Shred Head
All that theory my guitar teacher tries to drill into my head just gets buried under piles of porn and I never manage to apply any of it

Its actually just a pad connected to a rack-mounted MIDI controller, which is run through the amp.
Gear:
Agile Ash RB 828
Schecter C-7 (old 90s style headstock)
Handbuilt 6-string V
Handbuilt Baritone scale 6 string Iceman-copy
Pod HD300

Aww please don't do it to your American strat if you're asking these sorts of questions...I'm sorry but you're bound to screw up. Just get a cheaper guitar, maybe a squire, and do the mod in that.
#13
dont do it to your strat, hes right.

i would buy either a dean evo xm or a LP special (epiphone)

chepish guitars, enough room behind the bridge

buy a strat or a Kaoss pad guitar? xD

thankyou!
Put, I install Kaoss pads or i can install a kaoss pad in your guitar

Also, does the $900 include the kaoss pad or just wiring it up, if its just wiring it up you are ripping people off. do it for $100 at the most
#24
the pads what $300? You don't go charging people $450 to make a hole in there guitar and then wire up, what 4 cable?

ohh i see you build a guitar too....
How much do you charge with out the guitar?

its 750$ and its for wiring both the pad and in the guitar, guitar, cables, framing in the guitar, routing, lights in the guitar, etc

Makes me think it includes a guitar as well which isn't such a bad deal depending on the guitar.
