Hello Pit, I failed with the search button, so here goes;

You know when you discover a new band and it just makes you glad when you can identify yourself with them and you're just like "hey, how come i never knew of this band before? They're just what i enjoy listening to".
Like when I found out about Black Stone Cherry!

So, can ya'll recommend some bands or artists that aren't known by every single person and still kicks so much ass that you ask yourself how you could have missed it?

Would be great, i'm stuck in a rut when it comes to just diggin' good music.
Genre does not matter.

Alter Bridge,
Sigur Ros,
Stevie Ray Vaughan,
Elliot Smith,
Alice In Chains.

When I heard each of these artists for the first time, I had this strange feeling that I've been listening to them my whole life but hadn't found them yet.

Scar Symmetry.
They aren't that well known but they aren't totally obscure and underground either.

Hell fockin' YES.

And:
Jesu. Their songs are generally long, down-tempo, ambient yet heavy. You'd have to be not so busy to admire most of their songs.

Agalloch. Having read about them in the Opeth thread, I downloaded The Mantle, and as soon as it got properly into In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion, I just thought "YES." Been hooked ever since.

Agalloch first band that came to my mind also
