Soooo, long story short I went to go and buy some tonight.
I've got it home and haven't got a clue what it goes with or what you do with it.

As you can tell, curiosity got the better of me but now it finally comes to it I haven't got a clue what to do.
So, any suggestions UG?
I hope it doesn't seem, like I'm young, foolish, and green.

Generally hot dogs/sausage dogs and bratwurst.

Though I love the stuff so I eat it with alot of things.

What other things would these be?

I don't like Google, it's not as personal as a forum where I can get real life experiences of what to actually do with shredded cabbage in salt water.
Thanks anyway though

Honestly guys, any of you who know me will know how totally thick and useless I am.
So heat it up (or warm it?) and then have it. Or just straight out of the jar.
It's just sitting on the tabe at room temperature.

Don't do it. You'll regret it.

Now I've been hearing this a lot. Elaborate?

Just get some sausage. Almost any kind will do. Fry it up, and then after it's almost done throw in the 'kraut.
We're only strays.

Actually, it's not THAT bad. Go for "boerenkool" instead. MUCH BETTER.

I've never heard of that lol.
Can I get it without ordering from abroad?

EDIT: Woah woah, boerenkool is Colcannon?
That stuff's just mashed potato isn't it?

You gotta mix it with potatoes and cook it, you can add raisins, pineapple or banana according to your own preference but I presonally hate it. And meat of course, Bradwurst would be a classic.

edit: boerenkool is another type of crop, same way of preparing it though.

Have you ever tried to eat Headcheese before?

Sounds like it would go good with it. Although some people don't want to eat it after they know what it's made from, but that can be said with many foods commonly ate.
