How exactly can you tell if its time for a tube change? I was playing my amp and it all of a sudden.. the tone just kind of cut in half. The gain and the bass dropped and it almost sounded Clean. It was full and perfect and then one second later BAM it's half full (tone wise) But.. Idk.. If anyone can help with this that'd be great.. But I assume its time for new tubes.....

volume loss, tone crapping out, also if they are flaming insanely (more then usual) thats generally how you know

hm I had that too, most likely its not tubes. Check your jack. First thing you'll want to do is tighten the washer around the jack.
