Hey all! Can anyone tell me how to play this:

-----3-----
-----------
-----------
-----0-----
-----------

Do I have to mute the strings in between or something?

Yep. You could either mute the strings in between, or you can try finger picking these notes simultaneously, heck you can even pick the d string and pluck the g note with one of your fingers.

If I am not finger picking I usually just strum the most prominent sounding note, in that case it would be the 3 and I would just forget about the other note. I do the same thing with stairway. It sounds just as good, but when compared you can tell the missing note adds more depth.

You can do one of two things:

1) finger pick
2) use a pick on the lower note the open) and use one of your 3 free fingers to pluck the high note
my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps

If the whole song is like that I would lean towards fingerpicking. If it's a one time deal just pick and use your other finger to hit the other string.
