You doubt you can go used?

I know this is where I should laugh, but I don't get it.
Do you feel warm within your cage?

And have you figured out yet -

Its the fact that i won't find any. I don't know much about trems so doesn't matter, whatever you think is good, and id like specific guitars.

F*ckin defeatist.

I found an Ibanez S2120XAV used for 500 bucks with only one tiny ding on the ass of it.

But never mind, you're definately right - it'll never happen.

well do you whammy at all?
if you whammy a ton then get a floyd rose.
if you dont whammy or barely ever whammy, get a hard tail.
floyd roses can be a real pain in the @$$ so i wouldnt get one unless your really going to use it.

Okay then give up before you start and go buy something new that might not be as good as what you could find used.

ESP or Ibanez.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I have a free bridge on my Ibanez...I can tell you from first hand experience that you better be ready for the literally hours of maintenance you need to put in for one of these. If you change string gauges or tunings, you have to adjust the springs in the back. If you pop a string, all the other strings go ridiculously out of tune so your f*cked on stage. If all your strings get rusty or nasty and you choose to change em all at once, get ready for a tuning nightmare: if you tighten one, the rest go flat/ you loosen one, the rest go sharp. Like I said, you better know what you're getting yourself into before you buy a guitar with one of these.

That being said, a free bridge is loads of fun after you learn a few tricks on it. But I would make sure you have a back up guitar.
