Hi, I just joined the UG site today. I've been using it for a while now but never signed up until now.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi to the regulars. Should be fun.

My question is... How do I reduce the picking noise from my amp. I can clearly hear when i am picking. However when i record it i can't hear it in the recording.

Im thinking maybe its just me because i know when i pick and think i can hear it but i want to know if theres a way i can stop it.

mayby its just the noise of the pick hitting the strings that doesnt get picked up by the pickups but you can hear it
I sat next to a nun on the bus once, she said hi

Twitter: @Pikey_P - wise words right there.

if it doesnt come up in recordings then theres no problem. For some very odd reason mine do come up in recordings so i switch to a very very thin pick when recording which is annoying!

The noise def comes out of the amp but i think I will go with jack and just be happy it doesn't show up in recordings. Thanks for the idea though .
