I want a $100ish mic so I can play around in Audacity at home. I have a cheap USB talking mic right now that works OK for acoustic stuff, but I want something that can pick up my amp reasonably well. I do not need anything fancy... just something that sounds decent.

Any ideas?

I don't have personal experience.

but i've heard GREAT things about the Shure SM58 and SM57 Mics, both at reasonable prices

yeah get the sure they are very good mics ive had mine for over a year and a half its been through some s*** n still works great
