Here (Mumbai) it's between $2-3 per beer at a supermarket-like place . For the cheap ****ty stuff.

If you go to a place which actually has decent selection, the good stuff is like $4-6.

£2.50 for a cheaper beer.
Unless you drink cans alone in your room, then a can is like 75p on average. But you can a pint of beer for 60p or something if you shop around.
It's different to a nice pub pint though

That's for Stella, dunno about all the 4% crap as I'm above drinking it lol. That's in a pub by the way, cans are like £1 each for pints of Stella in the shop by me, so that's quite good

In the bars I go to it's everything from £1 a pint to £8.

£8?! Is that one of those bars where some sketchy looking guy lures you in to a side door with the promise of prostitutes then doesn't tell you how much you've spent until you try to leave?

Around 2-3 pounds. I'm not sure about the fish or chips though, or if the fish has chips.

Not really. It's not as if the city is overrun with terrorists (even though people are acting like it is).

It's cheap. You can always find a place in town to get a pint for less than £2 and sometimes even as low as £1 (and that's Carlsberg). From a supermarket usually you'll find a deal somewhere to get a 24 crate of lager for £10.
#27
for the general stuff from this countries two breweries

1.6€/pint in the cheap places (i.e. where we hang out )
2.3€ish/pint in most places
like 3.5€ in fancier establishments

18€ for 24* 0.5l cans (or the same in bottles....which would be nicer but we're to lazy to bother returning them/cbf to pay for the deposit)

or you can buy the cheap Lidl stuff for 50cents/can

Guinness is like 3.7€/pint in a bar

edit: a kebab is 3.5€
but we also have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burek for 2.5€ which is conveniently tasty in the early hours of the morning

a 24 ounce can of really nasty tasting (but 8% alcohol) stuff is around $1

a 22 ounce bottle of really top notch specialty stuff can be upwards of $20 (probably more if you really looked)

I normally drink Strongbow or Guiness which is around the £2.50 mark.
