In america Arch Enemy is seriously underrated. The Amott brothers have some of the prettiest tone i have ever heard.

Origin is also an insane band, the technicality of their stuff is just madness but you never hear about them.

I also think John 5 is seriously underrated for just how awesome and versatile a player he is. Technically he is a solo artist but still.

Terry Kath from Chicago. and Alvin Lee from 10 years after.

I find both of them way more talented than clapton or hendrix.

the blackening defnitly was the new master of puppets of this generation. never listened to such a great "thrash" metal cd since mop and reign in blood.

also imo trivium shouldnt any longer seen by some bitches who think it would be stil 1985 as "metal kids" and get critizided for clean vocals or stuff like that. both guitars are on a higher lvl metallica or slayers guitars were ever. period and the screams and growls are awesome.

Is that a ukulele in your pants, or did you just rip ass to the tune of "Aloha Oi"?

I met Sonic Youth on June 30th, and Mars Volta on Oct 20th.

everybody says they suck, and most of their sound does come from effects, but still.

I think Izzy Stradlin and Richie Sambora are underated, both great writers and guitar players but Richie has the advantage of pulling off excellent solos, their solo work is definately worth listening to IMO.

Radomu and The Searchbars.

Check them out sometime.

Personally, I think Circa Survive is underrated. Anthony Green is an amazing vocalist and songwriter. And not to mention the other members of the band.
On Letting Go is one of the best albums I've heard in a while.
And around here, no one can seem to get past the vocals, and immediately pawns them off as emo. They are far from that, and are extremely talented.

The Corrs

I completely agree with The Corrs! Their first album was a masterpiece!

Also, Yes should be way more famous than they are.

Iron & Wine. Sam Beam is one of the best 'light' guitarists I have heard. Fine band with lots of scope. British band, Hair of the Dog with Jazz Ball on guitar are worth doing a youtube search for. Especially their Toccata.
Yeah there's millions of good bands that no-one ever heard of. That's why this is an excellent thread.

Honestly, people stop naming screaming bands, because not everyone likes them (I hate bands that growl but I don't mind screaming) so you can't force them to make them non-"underrated".

I think Trivium is underrated still, they come up with some really cool songs.
