So all of my guitar playing career, life, whatever you want to call it; I've only played dual humbucker guitars.

So all in all, should I pick up a strat and show it to a good time?
Or should I stay true to my roots?

To be honest, I've never even picked up a single-coil guitar, haha.
Player, give me some brew an I might just chill
but I'm the type that like to light another joint like Cypress Hill

Try one out, see if you like it.

There's no reason for you to drop your double-buckers, but there's no reason not to try a single coil if the opportunity arises.

I wasn't going to drop them completely.

I think I'll try out a Strat today.

"Stay true to my roots" is just fancy speak for "Write the same album over and over again."

Do what your instinct tells you to do, and play what comes naturally. Why be an artist if you're going to limit yourself to only doing things one way?

Besides - what could be more true to your roots than doing what feels musically honest?
Do you feel warm within your cage?

And have you figured out yet -

Life goes by?
