I'm 100% sure there has to have been a thread like this before...but I'll make one so I get more specific answers.

I'm looking into to custom-making my own guitar out an existing model. (Strat, Les Paul, etc.)

I'm going to find a setup I like then NOT play with the pickups or hardware, but what I'm most concerned about is the look.

I draw and paint, and I would like to start out on my own custom guitars by buying a cheap strat and painting the body, pickguard, and creating my own inlays.

But I have no idea how.

So I wanted to ask all the modders and custom builders here how they started, how they go about doing their thing, what their studio is like, and how on should go about painting a guitar.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, or if I did something wrong by posting it, etc.etc.

Why would you even continue?

Go read the other thread, man. You just admitted that it's got the same info in it.
Do you feel warm within your cage?

And have you figured out yet -

Ha that's kinda funny how it was right there in the sticky and I didn't even click it.

Whoops.

Hell, you guys won't die from one extra thread. Just lock it or whatever.
