Hey guys. I'm tired of searching the internet for this crap.. all that comes up is all the really old 1960's movies that people say are the "scariest of all time"

So why not ask The Pit?

--

What is the scariest (could be gory.. jumpy.. or just downright scary) movie of all time?

Ring (the original) scared the hell out of me
My Gear

Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster
Marshall DSL 50 with 1960A

Maybe those 60's movies are that scary?

My friends say Cannibal Holocaust is the scariest movie ever. It's banned in several countries, because there is actual footage of 5 animals being killed, as well as other gory scenes.

I was personally more freaked out by The Truman Show than by any horror movie. Horror movies to me aren't that scary, just gory. I have trouble taking them seriously.

You mean "Ringu" the japanese version? If that's what you mean, I agree.

A lot of Asian horror films are top!

I guess quite a number of people hate reading subs, but honestly, after 5 mins you will forget you're reading!

I think the scariest films are the tense ones with supernatural themes. They're much scarier than watching some texan retard cutting people up with a chainsaw anyway.

Yeah I'm thinking about watching one of those. Would you say 28 Days or Weeks later is scarier?

Not The Strangers

Why not? I heard it was really good.. I was thinking about getting this too. Was it just not scary?
#16
I found it wasn't that great. It was just a bunch of empty suspense with a stupid ending.
#17
The Lion King... we all know what I mean.

No they don't, and UG is proof...

I'm jumping on the bandwagon with a bit o' Ringu.

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

I second that. It was horrid.
For real.

Me and my friends had a film called Pulse that we took on a trip with school. We didn't get to watch it cuz the teachers confiscated it. It was never allowed into the cinemas so it was never rated so I'm guessing its pretty damn scary.

Neither of them are scary, and they are not meant to be scary either.
See them, tough. 28 Days is one of my favorite movies, but 28 Week just plain sucks, horrible sequel.

And I only need to say one thing; The Blair Witch Project.

Why does everyone keep saying "Ringu"? Is it really that scary or is it just another Pit joke?
