NOT lemon oil. That's to condition rosewood fingerboards.

Just some soapy water should be fine. Just use it sparingly, and you should be fine. Furniture polish would also work, and I'd probably go for Mr Sheen, cause it works awesomely.

wipe it with a dry cloth first, and if it needs more cleaning then go with the polish.

my experience of lemon oil with rosewood is not good. i would recommend GHS FastFret for rosewood.

k thx....i just realized they messed up on the color coding...wow (for the thickness). It might not help that im partially color blind though.

You should only use a TINY amount of lemon oil, too much and your fingerboard will be ruined. But you should never use it on maple, it just won't work, and will ruin it.
