I havn't really had any personal embarassing moments on stage, but the bass player of my band was walking around and stepped on a rotten board at this one concert hall and his leg fell through and needed to be rushed to the hospital. Needed stitches and his leg got dislocated.

Breaking the end of a lead off, i jumped off the front of the stage, climbed back on but didnt notice that i had wrapped the lead around the front support strut of the stage and it ripped the end of the lead off, which stayed in my guitar, and this was in the big ending of the show, so i just collapsed in a fit of giggles and semi threw the guitar onto the stage, and jumped on our singer

On another note we are palying the same gig again this year

I was MC'ing a show at my school one time, and I was telling them not to have any food or drinks in the auditorium
Then I pulled a burger out of my pocket and started eating it...

I've unplugged many times
Been knocked out of tune
Knocked mic stands over
Lost my timing with a song
Strap has fallen off mid-song (strap locks broke)
Lost my balance on stage (Didn't fall over, but just stumbled)

well it wasn't related to guitar playing.

but we did a pla once infront of maybe a 100 people. I was one of the "main" actors, and the show we did was written by a bunch of retarded girls just 15 minutes earlier. bad preparation, not knowing how the random story went ended up in standing on stage with the wtf face and just improvising. We made the crowd laugh, but jesus ****ing christ did we hide ourselves after that.

I was playing, and some random chick had got out of the crowd and was massaging my back, and when she finally left, she hit my hi hat stand, and knocked it over D:

My friend Jared was playing at the talent show like 3 years ago and he attempted a guitar spin and the locks broke and it flew off the stage. He played it off well because he grabbed another guitar and kept playing.

First show ever for me-first song I ever did I was so nervous, I forgot to turn the volume up on my pickups from the knobs on my guitar...didn't realize it until after the first song since I was pretty nervous. The other guitarist was laughing and told me what I did. I turned it on, and within halfway through the next song I was fine, I figured hey I already ****ed up pretty bad, how could it get any worse? lol

I did the same on bass, except I didn't realise for 3 songs!

mine was when we lost battle of the bands due to technical issues even tho we were the best band there (eg. microphone not working.. fold backs not loud enough for us to hear each other)

Our first gig, a guy from the audience jumps onstage (stage was the same height as the ground) and messed with my tuners. 2nd gig, other guitarist strides forward to take a solo and pulls his lead out. A friend from the audience bolts onstage and plugs it back in, however the solo had already ended by the time he did that.

We played this gig at a bar on a super small stage, and I was standing right next to the bass player. I like to headbang a lot while playing, and during one of the songs, my hair got caught in his tuning pegs.
We kept playing, but we made eye contact and were looking at each other like, "What the f'ck do we do now?!?!" In the end, I did the metal thing and ripped my head from his headstock, all the while still playing. We had a good laugh during the rest of the song.
That gig was videotaped, and the incident was only maybe a second long, but it seemd like forever.

Besides that, the usual occasional mess up, and once coming unplugged.

i started playing the wrong song once, which will happen when you join a band on bass playing pre-written songs that all have the same chord structure

it wasn't me, but defiantly would've been embarrassing for the guy that did it.
i was at a gig, cant remember the band who was playing *it was a festival* and there was a BBall hoop above the stage and the guitarist had held his guitar up and actually got it caught in the net.. They had to play the song again..

Not me and not guitar related. At a play when my friends and I were on, one of my friend's fell, thankfully i had a sack with me ( i was robbing some house in the play) so I stuck my head in the sack and started laughing. Fortunately for my friend, he's a good actor so he managed to improvise pretty well and everyone thought the fall was part of the play.

Probably when I dropped my pick right before the Trooper solo. And the fact that I forgot to put the OD channel on for the Trooper. So the whole song sounded shizzle.

I've never had and 'embarassing' moment.

Mostly because I turn every stupid thing that happens into a hilarious stage move.

e.g. I slipped on a cable and fell onto my back, did I accept defeat? NO. I quickly recovered by doing a sort of reverse-worm break dance move, whilst playing, for the remainder of the song.

Or the time my old ****ty wireless pickup up a truck radio, so I quickly got on the mic and said "we can't afford samplers, and this is the only way we can appeal to scene kids".

fun timesssss.

My friends and I were doing a cover of Joker and the Theif years ago and I was drumming at the time. I came in late though, because I realized I couldn't move my leg because there were two sets of pliers, a hacky-sack and about a pound of plastic wrap in my right pocket.
