We just got the confirmation through today, my band Excellent Cadaver are supporting Trivium when they play at Fat Sam's Live in Dundee on Tuesday. Check out our Myspace page and/or our Bebo. I can't believe we actually got the spot, it's amazing!

so many things are wrong with this i dont even know where to start
Vikings? What Vikings? We are but poor, simple farmers. The village was burning when we got here, and the people must have slain themselves.

We're opening. The bill is as follows:

Excellent Cadaver

The singer from the Haunted doesn't seem to think they're playing, but the posters say otherwise

I wouldn't think that trivium would tour with the haunted after all that "**** metalcore we're real metal" spouting off.

Excellent Cadaver, hey I think I've heard of you guys, through a Scottish Metalhead group on Bebo, I read the interview that you were given on that, hope it goes well for you guys!

Touring with metalcore bands doesn't make you metalcore. Children of Bodom are touring with Slipknot but theat doesn't make them nu-metal

where did i say it would make them metalcore?

why would that be an insult?

triviums first 2 albums were about as "core" as could be ... but with the crusade they started slagging it off like mad .... hence the above comment ...

No way! Haha, I didn't think anyone would have actually read that. We wrote down what was actually said at the interview, joking and banter included, so it makes for a bit of a mad read

Well your post seemed like that's what you meant, sorry for misinterpreting.

Genres mean different things to different people, there's no real cut off point between metal and metalcore. They were probably surprised to be labelled 'metalcore' then tried to change public perception when that word pretty much became an insult amongst elitist metalheads. But what do I know?
