In the board game risk, on offense you can roll three dice, and on defense only two, BUT in case of a tie, (i.e. offense rolls a 3, a 5 and a 6 and defense rolls a 5 and a 6) defense wins it.

So, while on offense you have more chances of getting higher numbers, on defense you always win ties.

Which has the higher probability of winning a battle statistically? Offense or defense?

They did that to try to make the odds as even as possible, but for all intents and purposes: defense.
They credited us with the birth of that sort of heavy metal thing. Well, if that's the case, there should be an immediate abortion.

Defense

They made the game so that the defense would have a small advantage
