Alright so I initially was going to buy a marshall MG(I've already heard the criticism shut up) But my budget has gone from $600 to $1000 so I was looking for some suggestions for an amp that can handle a lot of distortion. Im looking for a 50 watt amp but if its a tube im willing to settle for 30 watts.
Im currently playing an Ibanez GRG170DX tuned to drop C but im buying a Jackson(either a king V or kelly with stock pickups) and my influences are CCR, Cannibal Corpse, Megadeth, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Testament, Exodus, disbelief, van halen, sepultura/cavalera conspiracy/soulfly, dead kennedys, death, kiss, pantera and king diamond.

You see this is why it's wrong to rape your guitar... in public.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

For 'outrageous amounts of distortion,' a JCM800 will be ****e, even with a pedal...

Look into a used ENGL or possibly a Mesa if you can afford to.

The Marshall JCM900 SL-X would be much better than an 800 for hi-gain.

My 6505+ has the ability to put out way more distortion than anyone would ever reasonably need. You can get one slightly used on craigs list or ebay for around $500-800
