When I mean covered, covered by professional artists.

I think it's little wing by Jimi Hendrix
I don't know why, I don't like the song, but the Corrs, Sting, Eric Clapton, and many others seem to love it.

I don't know if you guys like jazz guitar, but Wes Montgomery played Eleanor Rigby on the Gibson hollow body guitar, and it sounds GOOD...

Look up "Montgomery Eleanor Rigby" on youtube, it's amazing

In my recollection I've seen heaps and heaps of covers of the song 'Paint It Black'.

by whom?

Anyways, everyone should hear this cover of Eleanor Rigby by Wes Montgomery.
Ironically one of the reasons why i wanted a jazz guitar before a rock guitar.

Check it out: Eleanor Rigby

Time of your life by Green Day has got to be on the list. Anyone that claims to know how to play guitar knows this song.
