I'm thinking about buying some and a guy at Guitar Center told me they are good, but I don't know if he's just trying to get my money or not. I was going to get some DR Black Beauties, but they're out of my budget, so I'm looking at the DR Tite-Fit.

Yeah, I switch between DR and Ernie Balls. I just play one brand until I get tired of them, then change.

They're awesome, I totally recommend them.

Yes, I play nothing but DR's.

They are really nice feeling strings.
Just go with the regular ones though.

I used to use Ernie Ball but I like DR a bit better. I think they bend nicer and last longer.

Don't start another thread about strings...

Anyways, the best advice is to buy a few brands, Ernie Ball, DR, Blue Steel, Fender, Rotosound or GHS Boomers. Everyone likes different brands, there's no best brand.

I used to use DR's religiously, and while I've switched to Electro-Harmonix strings if I had to buy another set quickly and my store was out of EH's I'd go with DR's for sure.

Just get the regular ones, though. The colored ones are a joke. They look cool at first, but play them awhile and the paint gets rubbed off where you pick and you have a retarded looking silver patch. Just a marketing gimmick.

Yeah, theyre really durable, i had a set last 4 months (i'm poor, please forgive me) and the intonation was fine for that whole time. Stayed intune good as well.

I love both DR and D'Addario strings. I think D'Addarios are on sale at GC this weekend. I bought two packs of 11s for $9.68 after tax yesterday.

How come no one's mentioned Elixers? They are better than the very best.

I was using DR Silver Stars on my stage guitars, but now I'm just using the 11-46? Tite-Fits. For cleaner stuff, I like using their Pure Blues or whatever they're called. I really like their strings, they last a good while for me. DR Strings +1
